Dr. Dmytro Yanov
Dr. Dmytro Yanov is research fellow at the Research Centre for Islamic Numismatics Tübingen (FINT) for the period from 2025 to 2027. His own project there is funded by the EU MSCA4Ukraine scholarship programme and aims at studying Currency, Trade, and Warfare: Circulation of Ottoman Coins in Central and Eastern European Borderlands of the Ottoman Empire 1526–1699.
Dmytro Yanov received his PhD from the Odesa I.I. Mechnikov National University (Faculty of History) with the thesis Circulation of coins of the Ottoman Empire in the Carpathian-Dniester area (1381–1691).
